This workshop invites faculty, librarians, instructional designers, administrators, and other campus stakeholders to explore the possibilities of Open Educational Resources more deeply. Interact with faculty and librarians across SUNY who have first-hand experience with OER Understand the distinctions between traditional and Creative Commons copyright Discover OER materials in your subject area Apply OER content to help meet your course outcomes All skill and comfort levels with both OER and campus technology are welcome.
Participants in this workshop will (re)design a general education course centered around open educational resources. If you are accepted for the workshop, you agree to be prepared to attend both days of the workshop (there may be some pre-workshop work) and complete post-workshop assessments of the workshop and the course you (re)design. The workshop is limited to those teaching a general education course on a SUNY campus in the spring, summer, or fall of 2018. Preference will be given to those applicants with some experience with OER.
