Plagiarism - Information for Faculty and Students: Plagiarism and the WWW

Plagiarism and the WWW

Plagiarism and the World Wide Web
A common misconception among students is that anything available on the World Wide Web is free to use without restriction. Not so! Material used in a paper from a Web site, copyrighted or not, must be credited to the source in the same manner as text or ideas from a book or an article. Downloading entire papers from free or pay term paper sites on the Web is tempting to a student who feels desperate. You should know that instructors are well aware of these Web sites and the papers that can be downloaded from them.
