Our library uses the Library of Congress classification system to organize material housed in the library. Medical material will be classified with a letter R and any number of additional alphabetical classes that further divide the topic into subtopics.

RC - Internal Medicine
RD - Surgery
RE - Ophthalmology
RF - Otorhinolaryngology
RG - Gynecology and obstetrics
RJ - Pediatrics
RK - Dentistry
RL - Dermatology
RM - Therapeutics. Pharmacology
RS - Pharmacy and materia medica
RT - Nursing
RV - Botanic, Thomsonian, and eclectic medicine
RX - Homeopathy
RZ - Other systems of medicine
The library offers about 42,000 print books and over 590,000 Ebooks! Use Primo to locate them - select the Everything option if you are looking for Ebooks and then limit to Material Type "Books."
If you identify a print book that you wish to locate in the library, you use the call number to locate it on the shelf.
