Learn About Race and Racism

This guide is for the JCC Community to learn about race and racism. It is something we need to learn about and talk about. Start with educating yourself and reflecting. Talk with your family, friends, colleagues. It is time to be open and aware.

The National Museum of African American History and Culture has created "Talking About Race" a web portal that provides tools, exercises, videos, articles and more to help begin the conversation. There is a section geared specifically for educators. Explore the portal and then check out some of the resources in this guide. While we can't get to the print books just now, there are many online resources provided through the JCC databases to help us learn more.
